What are current transformers?
Current transformers are inductive instrument transformers that convert high primary currents proportionally into small, easily measurable secondary currents. They provide galvanic isolation between power and measuring circuits.
Common designs are ring-type CTs for busbar mounting, wound-primary CTs for compact installations, split-core CTs for retrofits and protection CTs for fault detection.
